Content is the key to marketing. When handled well, it has the power to attract people, build communication and increase sales conversions.

Good content doesn’t come easy. It requires a lot of effort, time and energy. But don’t worry, because you’re about to find the formula you can use to create one.

1. Angle

The angle is best described as the topic you want to write. Often the answer to help your audience. Anything that they need or love to read.

You can start by clarifying these 2 questions:

  1. What problem does your audience face?
  2. What is the solution to the problem?

2. Writing

Communicate the solution in an informative, entertaining and captivating way.

Here is the format:

  1. Identifying the problem
  2. Cause of the problem
  3. Advantages to gain when problem is solved
  4. How to solve the problem
  5. Future prevention strategy.

3. Timing

Deliver your content on the right time means you’ll reach more people. However, there are two types of content you can create, topical or evergreen.

Topical content centres around what happening recently such as news, events and holiday-based content. Normally, it will generate a lot of traffic but in a limited time only. So, publishing time is very important.

Evergreen content doesn’t depend on recent trends. The information doesn’t date. It’s going to be readable and remain useful for years to come. But still, especially in social media, make sure to check which time generate most audience to your post.

The best practise is by having a healthy mix of both topical and evergreen content and deliver them on the right time.

4. Placement

Once you’ve finished your content, you need to make sure it reaches your audience. That’s when content placement comes to play.

There are some ways to deliver placement:

  • Social media posts
  • Media hubs, eg. websites, blogs, e-magazines, etc.
  • Interactive hubs, eg. videos, live streaming, audio podcasts, animations, etc.
  • Digital mailer, eg. enewsletter, direct marketing, etc.
  • Press releases.

Ideally, it’s best to acquire a multimodal approach to increase visibility and deliver your message to the right people.

The wonderful thing about content is it stays, especially the evergreen post. You spend hours, not mentioning days, creating one today, and five years later, it still there generating traffic and views.

And, by refering to the formula above, you will be able to write a good content.
